I’m sharing the mid-year review from Octus, who were gracious enough to let me opine on a range of topics.

The most pertinent point, in my view, is that recent macro volatility exacerbated the trend of capital providers aggressively pursuing top-line businesses, but might be crowding out viable but imperfect or under-the-radar businesses. A well-prepared credit narrative and a well-organised process are extremely helpful, whichever group you land in.
